Hi again all the people,

I am taking my family to Walt Disney World for our yearly January Trip and we are staying at the Grand Floridian :mickey:. I reserved a Theme Park View, and was hoping to see the Castle, though I heard those rooms are not so easy to get  .

I was hoping someone here can help me with a room/building recommendation. If I CAN choose any room/building, which would be a good one to get the best view of the Castle.

Thanks to everyone in advance

Nathan

We stayed at GF once (thanks to a free upgrade :cloud9:) and were in building 5, facing the monorail line. We could not see MK. From my observation, portions of buildings 6 & 7 have a MK view with the castle as the centerpiece. I'm sure someone with experience can confirm this. One night we came back to the room early and sat just outside Gasparilla Grill watching Wishes. Gasparilla Grill is situated between buildings 5 & 6.

That would be the Conch Key Building. Request a high floor room on the end of the building facing the MK. You can lie in your bed a view the castle.

We have stayed at the GF twice and one time we did get a MK view. It was a fantastic view I forget the name of the building we were in but it was right above the dock area. It was great and I am glad that we did it but I would not book it again, just because of the extra costs involved. You can always go down to the dock area and see the water parade and the fireworks from MK. It was a special treat for us to get that view but as I said, I would not do it again - unless it was a free upgrade! GF is DD favorite resort.:mickey:

The best views of Cindy's Castle come in the theme park-view rooms in Sago Cay and Conch key lodges. Hope this helps you.....:mickey:
