Our family (daughter 11 and son 5) is going to be cruising on the DREAM March 3, 2011 and being it is our first ever cruise I was wondering what ship activities are not to be missed be it free or a fee charged?? :mickey:

Well, the Dream hasn't been launched yet, so we don't know all the activities that will be offered.

But one feature that has been publicized is the AquaDuck (http://www.disneycruisenews.com/ContentDrillDown.aspx?DisplayItem=cd38693d-f728-40b9-87f0-fb06a0fbd302), a waterslide that carries you out over the ocean then along the ship, through the forward funnel, then back down the other side of the ship. That's one I'm definitely not going to miss!

For us, the live shows are also in the don't miss category.

Having not sailed with any kids, I don't have any first-hand knowledge of activities geared toward them; I'm sure someone else will chime in with that info.

The kids' club on the Dream look absolutely fantastic... particularly the one for the younger set. The Oceaneer's Club (http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/ships-activities/ships/dream/youth-clubs/oceaneer-club/) and the Oceaneer's Lab (http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/ships-activities/ships/dream/youth-clubs/oceaneer-lab/) are intended for the 3-10 year old set. The Edge (http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/ships-activities/ships/dream/youth-clubs/edge/) has been designed for tweens. The clubs look truly amazing. Be sure to check the links.

Disney hasn't published very much yet about "adult" daytime activities. On the Wonder, I love to grab a coffee, tea or other adult beverage, and sit near the Cove Cafe with a good book while basking in the sun. Very nice to do during a winter cruise (not sure I'd enjoy it as much in the summer).

And like Ed, said there is always the Aquaduck.

Check out the section posted about the Dream (http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/ships-activities/ships/dream/) on the DCL site. It certainly makes me want to book a cruise as soon as I can swing it!

BINGO! It is very addicting! I know it sound strange, but we have been on 3 cruises and my DS (now 11) and I played every game. He'd order a smoothie and I a glass of wine or two (not free). They have electronic cards now that play over 30 games for you at a time (if you pick it... it isn't cheap). The last cruise we took a year ago (3 night Bahama), I played every one and won the big Jackpot at the end of the cruise (over $2000). :woohoo:
