Are on-site hotels walking distance to IOA?

Never been but staying one night a Royal Pacific just to see WWOHP and then going on the WDW. Hard to tell from Universal's map how you get around. I've no concept of the scale of this place. Do you walk from Royal Pacific to IOA or is there some kind of transportation system?
Also, we will be arriving on a Thursday in late January, visiting IOA probably in the afternoon until close and then going first thing Friday morning. At that time of year during the week, that should be sufficient time to experience WWOHP w/o feeling too rushed won't it???

There are boats from Royal Pacific to City Walk but than there is still a little bit of a walk from there. Personally, we typically just walked from the resort to the parks - it's really not that far. In fact, I think we walked further when we stayed off-site and had to walk from the parking garage.

As Faline said, walking is really not that far. There's a nice little path that takes you along the river right to City Walk and the parks. We've done it a few times. Then again, the boat ride, which you catch out by the pool, is a nice relaxing way to go. We usually do the boat ride. They seem to come frequently enough,and don't take that long to get you there. Not sure what the maps look like, but the parks are very close. Have fun, we'll be there next month as well! :mickey:
