Mon 27 Sep
We left our room at 9:58am (not bad after only getting in at 1:35am) and walked to the TSMM FP machines within 20 minutes and got a FP for 6:35pm. We walked around to see Lightening McQueen and Mater then continued to Muppets-4D. After lunch, at Starring Rolls, we watched the Beauty and the Beast show then return to relax in Stormalong Bay and drifted around in a tube.

On our way to a third and final  dinner at Le Cellier (5pm) we found the exhibit for our town within the UK pavilion. We enjoyed mushroom fillet mignion & choc-on-choc whiskey cake for the final time.

It was then back to DHS, for the evening EMH until 10pm, by boat. First port of call was TSMM to use our FP followed by ToT 3 times, which appeared to be operating the same fixed sequence in both drop shafts. We then did GMR (gangster version) and there was a delay in Munchkinland as “Follow the yellow brick road” ended before we started to move. The CM adlibbed very nicely with “That was a bit awkward as we appear to have overstayed our welcome.” Finally there was just enough time to see Voyage of the Little Mermaid before returning to the Yacht Club.

Tues 28 Sep
Overslept and almost missed the morning EMH in EPCoT. We got to Soarin’ at 8:55 and did our usual ritual of getting a FP going on Soarin’ then having breakfast at Sunshine Seasons. As we were about to ext The Land, we noticed the exit doors of Circle of Life open and decided to watch it, as we last watched it in 2003. We then had a slow walk clockwise around World Showcase (Mexico to International Gateway) as the clouds and humidity started to increase rapidly, so we headed back to the Yacht Club.

As we were sat outside Beaches and Cream, having a cup of mint choc ice cream, Stormalong Bay was closed. At 3pm the sky opened in an overhead T’storm (less than 1sec between lightening and thunder). This was a “not now!” moment as we had tickets for MNSSHP that night. We decided to brave it, donned the ponchos and headed to the bus stop to go to MK for a 5pm dinner at Tony’s.

By the time that we arrived at MK the rain had started to ease. Dinner at Tony’s was not a relaxing experience as it was at counter-service speed (very rushed) and over in about 35 minutes. By the time that we had done Buzz 3 times and the Monster’s Laugh Floor the rain had stopped and CMs were sweeping the water from the parade route. The rain did take its toll in that the castle stage was too wet for the Villain’s show and the Headless Horseman did not ride out prior to the first parade. The remainder of the night was excellent – several Buzz (walk on and we each had our own car to battle it out and we can now exceed 800000 on every run), watched both HalloWishes and the second parade. Got a bonus of a picture with the 7 Dwarfs and stocked up with candy galore. We exited PotC at midnight and headed back to the bus station to board a bus that surprisingly departed with empty seats.

Wed 29 Sep
We decided to have another shopping morning, this time at Premium Outlets followed by lunch at Wolfgang Puck and some time in Disney Quest.

Dinner was at 5:05pm at Sanaa (Kidani Village via a boat to DHS then bus). We asked for and got a table by the window where we were treated to close up views of Giraffes, Zebra, African Cranes and Antelope. The food was excellent, a very close second place to Le Cellier. I had the New York Strip which apart from cut of meat and name was nothing like a NYS that I’d had before – it was much nicer. DW had a new chicken dish (can’t remember its name). We both finished with a trio desert sampler – WOW! This place is a hidden gem.

We left Kidani Village to go to MK to see the Main Street Electrical Parade and Wishes. Before returning to the Yacht Club, we also managed to ride Buzz twice.

On Intercot we had read reports about Jellyrolls so decided to give it a try. As we approached, from the Swan & Dolphin side, we could hear the music and decided that it was too loud for that night, so we continued to EPCoT for its evening EMH until midnight. The first stop was a pint in the Rose and Crown followed by a take a chance walk across to Soarin’ (by now it was approaching 11:30pm). There was only a 10 min wait for Soarin’ so on we went. We exited and headed straight back into the line. This flight was not full and finished just before midnight. As the next flight was loading, I noticed that again the flight had seats spare so asked a CM if we could re-ride and we did on the front row!!! So, we had managed to get both the first and last flight of Soarin’.

The walk back to the International Gateway was eerie to say the least. We saw 12 people and the lagoon was very still.

The final instalment is to follow.

Sorry about the bad weather on Tuesday. There were lots of problems at WDW that day due to weather. Sounds like you made the most of it.
