We've cruised the Disney Wonder before in May, it was lovely. Thinking of a three night cruise in February before a few days at WDW. Would it be worth it, or waaay too cold?

You're already going back in Feb??? Man, that's rough... ;)

The weather for cruising will likely be okay, but the water temps in the Bahamas in winter are COLD! It's pretty iffy. We went on a late December cruise to the Caribbean and our weather was very windy and quite chilly. One of our shore excursions got cancelled due to high winds and rough seas. It was a snorkeling one.

It all depends on what kind of winter the South has. We were on 7-nighters in Feb 05 and Feb 09. Both of those times were warm, and the water was cool but definitely not what I'd call cold.

By contrast, Feb of 2010 was unseasonably cold. We weren't on a cruise then, but it was downright COLD throughout the South and well down into the Caribbean.

We cruised on the Wonder this past February to Bahamas (4 nights). Days were OK not quite warm, but nights were cool. Jacket weather. On our day at Castaway Cay it was rainy and windy, water too cold for swimming for me, but our teenagers went swimming anyway. The weather will differ from year to year of course, and even week to week.

After escaping the Northeast and a day-long flight delay due to a snowstorm, we sailed on the Wonder in 2008. It was warm out, but certainly not hot. There were brave souls swimming in the ocean at Castaway Cay but then again you see people swimming at WDW when it's 40 degrees out. Would we go again? In a heartbeat! A warm day on the Wonder is a gazillion times better than a slushy day in the cold Northeast.

Great minds think alike! Thats what I was thinking! These winters around here just seem to go on and on..and come February, its just grey and slushy and empty. The days are short, and its about that time that we all have cabin fever. Thanks Ellen!
