Hi! We would like to go to Universal Studios for a day. We will be staying at POFQ. I checked and Alamo at the Car Care Center has 1 day rate for about $40. Would a taxi to and from Universal Studios be cheaper? I think it would be easier. Is there a shuttle to take you from the POFQ to the Care Care Center?

A taxi would be far more expensive than 440 round trip. There are pros and cons to the different possibilities.
Rent: Probably the least expensive, but more hassles.
Car service: Less hassles but costly
Taxi: Most expensive and probably the most hassles.

The car service like Quicksilver is definitely the most comfortable way to go, but depending on party size, the Mears shuttle might be the cheapest. It's $18/person.

From Info Central (http://www.intercot.com/infocentral/transportation/transoffsite.asp).
National is located on Disney property and will transport you between their location (Disney's Car Care Center) and your hotel.
You could also take a bus to DHS and boat or walk to The Dolphin to rent a car.

And remember Universal Parking is 15.00 for regular and 20.00 for preferred.
