I was just sitting here reading different Disney posts on a cpl of different sites. And as will sometimes happen, i got a random thought.

I would like to work for Disney corp in an Anti-Terrorism type job (its what Ibasically do in the Army). But I had this random thought of how much FUN it would be to work as the person who lets folks into the Haunted Mansion. Yeah I know its a Min Wage job (or really close). But I would love to go over the top for it. I think it would be cool to to a little bit of make up and get a bigger size uniform and play the part as a hunchback like Igor from frankenstein or something. Do a bit of an accent with it, walk with a dead leg so i have to shuffle. I think I would have a lot of fun with it.

Anyone else have an Idea of a job they would find fun to do? special costumes are optional

Being one of the servers at 50s Prime Time at DHS (never worked in a restaurant so I'd probably drop all the food). I think it would be a lot of fun joking around with the customers.

I'd love to be security in the guard shack at POR who tells everyone ... Welcome Home !!

I know that would be a boring job, but it's not like I haven't spent hours upon hours of my life at a guard shack before....and I didn't welcome anyone with "welcome home" words !! Random security strolling the parks would be fun too !!

I would love to be the entertainment at Ft Wilderness for Chip n Dale's campfire and movie at night. I imagine playing the banjo, and my wife leading the sing a long. Then, we'd get to ham it up with two of my fave characters. I have had so much fun at the campfires since I was very young, and I would love to be able to share that with other guests.
This one will probably never happen (neither of us can play or sing, LOL), but its a great imaginary retirement

when i worked there, i always said i wanted to be the "answer man". Just dress in a guest services costume and walk the parks, helping anyone who needed it and giving out magic moments all day.

I would LOVE to be a wedding planner or special moments/celebrations planner. There's a team for those things... getting engaged, getting married, telling a special secret while on vacation...

or making the surprise baskets that people order to have delivered and waiting on their arrival.

that job would be :cloud9: and I wouldn't care how much (or how little) it paid. I'm assuming that I'm living 100% debt free, kids college is paid off, house paid off, etc.

I have always wanted to be one of the people who sweep up the trash with the little scoop and broom. Then I could find some small child and convince him to sweep up for me while I take a break and sit on a park bench while he wonders if I am ever going to come back.

Dream Job of All Time: to be a Liberty Voice. What an incredible experience to be able to sing for a living in the best vocal group known to man, all while working at Epcot and finish each work day watching Illuminations.

Does exploring WDW from top to bottom and become rich by writing books about my experiences count? :mickey:

I know this is a lame response...but..I'll take ANY JOB at Disney!!! If it wasn't for my family's annoying need for money I'd be down there right now. I plan to retire in 15 years and head down there to sign up for whatever position they'll give me.

I agree with Gator...it would be great to have the talent to be in the Voices of Liberty and even better to get to sing every day for the guest at Disney!

Sign me up for this job! If not this, I've always wanted to be one of the people that rides on the back of the tram in the MK parking lot. Not sure why exactly, but it looks fun!

I would like to be the person who took you on the magic elevator at the Haunted Mansion. Those people are soooo creepy.

I'm a conference and tradeshow planner in real life, and I want to be the conference and tradeshow planner at Disney World! Coranodo Springs is their conference hotel, and I am just itching to see all their "behind the scenes" stuff there. Sounds boring, but I'd love to do that.

Jungle Cruise captain or immangineer. Either make people laugh or design something fun for people to enjoy.:mickey:

I know this sounds silly but would love to be chip or dale, they are just so much fun and interact so much with the guests in such a goofy way.

I have no idea if there's a title for this job, but I would love to be one of the people who "scours" the globe for all the interesting artifacts and kitsch that make the queue lines so special. I mean, just look at the lobby of The Tower of Terror and the whole theme of Expedition Everest! I guess, technically, I would be considered an Imagineer...but I would think of myself as more of a professional "yard saler" or "junk picker". It would be SO fun. Hmmm...maybe prop master, or set designer for the parks?...

That would be my ideal job, too!! Or one of the caboose safety people either on the Railroad at MK or any of the parking lot trams.

:D From the frustrated bus/tourist perspective, I would love to run the transport centre in the evening ~ I'm sure I could do a better job than the director!! :D ;)

Hmm, I think ANY job at WDW would be great. I'm so used to dealing with people at their worst, it would be nice to be around happy people all the time!

Off the top of my head....Friendship Boat Captain, WDW Bus Driver, Monorail Driver or any job where can see more than one area of the parks.

BTW Jim, The WD Co. does have anti-terror operatives w/ TS clearance.

Trust me, a LOT of the guests in the park are not happy. The great percentage are but there are a lot of gripers and complainers.

I work turnstiles and parades and we get an opportunity to see some of the people at their worst sometimes.

Don't really understand it but some just have a chip on their shoulder from the time they leave their car and carry it all day and night.

Yeah I know it!! I have 3 years until I retire but i still go at least once a week to the HR website and search the database. I have found many jobs that I would fit in but I have to wait until im about a year from retiring from the Army. I cant wait

In the parks I've narrowed it down to either being a CM on The Great Movie Ride or ToT.

Other than that, I'd love to work in casting. I'm an actor and director and I would love to be a part of the casting processes for all the talent in the parks.

My retirement is set. I want to work either at the MK handing out stickers to guests or at the WL pool area doing recreation. My family laughs but I keep telling them I am going in 10 years with or without them!:D

I would love to be one of the princesses! I am a mom of three boys and I have always wanted a girl. :princess: I think it would be awesome to be Cinderella and get to see all the little girls faces when they meet her! Of course I could totally see myself working in POC since I am a pirate at heart! :mickey:

That's Jungle Cruise Skipper. (Captains go down with the ship, and the skipper will be swimming away right next to you).;)

This is also the position in the parks I would love to have.

Im sure there are, but comparitively, the guests at WDW are in much better moods than my "customers" and a world of difference from my current profession.

I totally agree... I'd like to do this too. Yard sale all day long and get paid for it? I'd love to be a "set director" or "theme master" and make a concept on paper a reality.

any job where i am interacting with the crowds - the person standing around with the big mickey paw giving out high-four's all day / a "face" character / one of the street actors up and down HS....of course i would have to request the summer off - too hot!!
