Sept. 7, 1911 – Master Disney animator Fred Moore, who worked on the Disney classics “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” “Peter Pan,” and “Dumbo,” was born in Los Angeles, Ca.
Sept. 7, 1929 – Disney’s Silly Symphony cartoon “El Terrible Toreador” was released.
Sept. 7, 1945 – Disney’s Donald Duck and Goofy cartoon “No Sail” was released.
Sept. 7, 1956 – Songwriter Hall of Famer Diane Warren was born in Van Nuts, Ca. Her music could be heard in such Disney and Touchstone films as “Snow Dogs,” “Atlantis: The Lost Empire,” “Pearl Harbor,” and “My Favorite Martian.”
Sept. 7, 1969 – Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color aired on NBC-TV. Starting with the next episode the series will change its name to “The Wonderful World of Disney.”
Sept. 7, 1976 – Jason Blain Carson, a member of the 90’s TV show “The All New Mickey Mouse Club,” and later of the country group Shiloh, was born in Arizona.
Sept. 7, 1984 - The Morocco Pavilion opened at Epcot along with the following Casablanca Carpets; Jewels of the Sahara; Fashions from Fes; Marketplace in the Medina; Tangier Traders; The Brass Bazaar; Medina Arts, and Berber Oasis.
Sept. 7, 1984 – The Disney board asked for, and received, Ron Miller’s resignation.
Sept. 7, 1984 – Disney’s limited series of its 3-half hour syndicated TV show “Mickey, Donald, and Sport Goofy Show” aired. (#2 aired Nov. 17, 1984, #3 aired Dec. 1, 1984)
Sept. 7, 1987 – The Disney Game Show “Win, Lose, or Draw” began airing in syndication. (Ended Aug. 31, 1990 (570 episodes) (Also aired on NBC from Sept. 7, 1987 to Sept. 1, 1989 (505 episodes)
