I am going by myself to WDW in a few months. I am so excited! When I've been in the past, I've not worried about room location. However, some room entrances are rather obscured and dark- which is fine if you have people with you.

So any suggestions on getting a room location in All Star Movies where I wont be nervous about heading to the room in the dark? Do I request it and will it be honored?

Thanks in advance!
Sue

There really aren't any issues to worry about. Security is very good and I've never heard of any major security issues. However, you can put "well-lit area" request on your reservation and you can also request a security escort if you don't feel comfortable.

I haven't been to this hotel before but if there is a main area where you can request to be by then I would try to put that on your reservation.
My sister had some security issues when returning to the room by herself. (was not that hotel but on property) And it was far from the main building. I am sure that she would have felt better about it if she was near a main area...
So just ask and have them put it on your ressie. Like the previous post mentioned if you don't feel safe...say so.

I understand what you mean. We stayed at ASM last September and we were put on the top floor in the last room in the back. I felt uneasy walking back at night even with my husband!

I would totally request a closer room.

I would probably make a request for a preferred room (slightly higher) since they tend to be closer to where the action is (and thus less likely to be at the far end of the resort). Like others have said I would also have my concerns noted on the reservation and ask for a room in a well traveled area.

I always go alone. When I go I try to get a room close to the bus stop, since I stay out in the parks late at night. I have at times been in a preferred room. I have not felt scared except the times I had to walk far to my room but I stayed in well lit areas.
