Grand Californian & EVC

We have decided to go ahead and keep our rezzies at Grand Californian, even though my DH is going thru chemo. We will rent an EVC at the hotel. My question is: do we need to reserve an EVC? Should I notify the hotel that we will be using an EVC, will they put us in a differenty arranged room??? Not sure how all this works, any advice or info would be appreciated.:mickey:

Have you already inquired about ECV rentals through the hotel? I was not aware that this was offered. They do rent ECV's right outside the park gates, but you cannot take them into the hotels or past the bag check area that leads into Downtown Disney.

If you need an ECV for the duration of your stay, you'll have to rent through an outside company unless you know for sure that the hotel will rent you one.

You should note that you need a handicap accessible room. A room of this type will have a bit more floor space for storing the ECV.
