Yacht Club water/pool view

We are staying at Yacht Club in a water view room. I am wondering what is a good location to request.

Is there a view over Stormalong Bay? Is this a good view. We don't want to be near any elevators as they can be noisy, if there are stormalong bay views, are there elevators really close that may be noisy?

Would close to lobby be a good request if we don't want to walk forever?

Would love any recommendations.

Views are pretty subjective at Disney and if you can see a drop of water from your room,it's a "water view". That would pretty much put your room anywhere in the front of the building (overlooking Crescent Lake and/or Stormalong Bay).

The Yacht Club is a very long, hotel like structure and if you aren't near an elevator, you could be in for a very long walk. I seem to remember the main elevator just off the registration desk, so closer to the boat dock. If you request Stormalong Bay, you'd probably be far enough away. Might just be a hike to get to the main lobby. A request of close to the lobby, will most likely keep you nearer to the elevator.

If you're arriving early enough, use standard check-in (not online) and take the extra time with the CM to have him/her show you your room location. If you aren't happy with it, you can ask for a change. It just depends on what inventory they have available when you arrive. Getting there early, means the more rooms you have to choose from.

request to stay near the quiet pool. its a nice area that will walk right out to the pool that is almost always empty.

request to stay near the quiet pool. its a nice area that will walk right out to the pool that is almost always empty.The YC quiet pool is not a bad choice, just puts you pretty far away from Stormalong Bay and the lobby. The trade off could be the view though. If you're in that wing, you might be able to see parts of Illuminations from your balcony.

Facing the boardwalk is our favorite view. We like the lights on the water, boat sounds, etc.

Don't worry too much about the elevators. There is more than one bank of them. There is one at the "far" end of the YC too, in addition to the one at the lobby area.

I'd request a view of "Crescent Lake", as that is the best waterview, IMO. The view with SAB below can get noisy, especially in the afternoons with the DJ playing loud music and people having fun. This goes on until sometimes 10pm, during peak season...
