We are going with a bigger group than usual in July 2011 and we are having diffiuclties finding a hotel to accomidate all 6 of us with in our budget. I think $7,000 for 2 weeks would be our absolute maxium we can spend on the hotel only. The other diffuclty is we prefer to have 1 or 2 bedrooms if that is possiable. Any ideas? Thanks!

I don't know all the options, but I do know some discounts for 2011 came out today. Contact Magical Journeys (http://yourmagicaljourneys.com/) and they can help you figure out all your options and which is best.

These are 2010 rates for July, so I'd factor in a little increase, but here are some options for 14 nights (accommodate 6, multi bedroom, $7000 budget).

Allstar family suite (1-bedroom) $280/night =$3920

FW Cabin (7/18 value season, 1-bedroom with additional bunk bed) $270/night = $3780

2 value rooms (you can request connecting) $140/each = $3920

Wilderness Lodge deluxe (1-bedroom, club level amenities) $540/night $7560

Doubletree Suites downtown Disney (2-bedroom suite 2011 rates bookable now) $385/night = $5390

2-bedroom DVC units would be very comfortable, but a cash booking through Disney would put you a little over budget. You could research and see about buying points from an owner, which would save you money.

The Disney prices can come down based on any specials they may be running.

Thanks Tammi very helpful but do you know how much two moderate rooms cost, and how much two deluxe rooms would cost?

July is summer season at the mods. A standard view at POR is around $193/night. Two rooms for two weeks is about $5404.

WL and AKL have the least expensive standard rooms for the deluxes. Value season begins on July 18th. $240/night = $6720.

When you have an idea of what you'd like to do, I would definitely agree that you talk with Magical Journeys. The rates I posted are rack rates for 2010. With taxes and whatever increase Disney comes up with for 2011, it's only going to make those rates higher. Magical Journeys will search for any discounts that may be available to you. Saving money is good .
