Can you take advantage of all 3 offers for Jan? Free dining, gift card, and discount rooms or is it better to pick the one that will save you the most??

Wow, how did general rates come out before AP rates? I am sure Wendy is taking care of our ressies to get these rates at least.

We are all busy at work and have been since before DRC opened. EVERY client is being worked up 3 ways to see what offer is the best for them.

All we ask is a little patience as we type up emails for everyone. That seems to be what takes the longest!

Thanks Nanci. I am sure you all are. Wendy emailed and said she is on it. It will take a while to process all the changes.

Looks like the best option for our January trip is the "Room Rate % Off" deal.....of which we'll have the Dining Plan thrown in. Hopefully we'll be able to get our Poly room reservation made shortly. Can't wait!

Oh, I just replied in the dining forum to you! Your best bet is to contact your agent directly and see what your options are.

I see lots of familiar "faces" on this thread! If you are one of mine, you have been emailed! Sorry for the delay! Lyle the castmember and I bonded for almost 5 straight hours on my first call to Disney today! I think I need to invite him to Thanksgiving now!

If I could type faster, it would break the sound barrier lol!

Check your email! You were priced all 3 ways and drumroll...your best discount was: FREE Dining!

I am staying at the Polynesian in December (5 days/4 nights, family of 5: 4 adults, 1 child-age 10) and I qualify for all of these but I know you can only pick one. Which one do you think would be the biggest savings? The 40% off the room or the free dining?

Generally speaking, a percentage off the room deal will always be better than free dining or gift card promotions when staying at Deluxe Resorts. However, being a family of five makes it possible that free dining might be a contender, it just depends on how much your Poly room costs using rack-rates.

With the Standard DDP at $45.99 per person per day (and your 10 year old would have to get the Adult Standard DDP) -- 4 nights * 5 people * $45.99 adds up to a pretty significant savings -- approximately $230 per night ($920 for 4 nights.)

If 40% off a night at the level of room you are booking at the Poly is more than $230, then that discount is best.

The $500 gift card is basically a joke for your group size.

I wasn't sure what the DDP cost was, but given your numbers, if their Poly room has a per-night charge of $575 or more, then the room discount wins. But if their rack-rate is less than $575 (I would think that it would be unless they are staying Club Level) the free dining will actually be the better deal.

SQUEE! Using the room rate discount, Denise @ MJ helped us upgrade from POFQ to The Poly for our November trip :cloud9:.

MJ rocks--thanks, Denise!

Are there codes for this?

I'm not trying to take away your business, it's just that I'll probably need just 2 nights and I know that MJ doesn't do just 2 nights. I am a past MJ customer. I've used Debbie in the past and she's great.

Nanc, if you remember me, I'm the one about 1 1/2 years ago who was visiting Elk mountain to ski and needed some tips on restaurants in the area. We stayed at Oliveri's. You recommended Frank's in Simpson (they were booked) and the Clifford Hotel (I think that was the name - they have great blue cheese dressing, although I had the pierogies). You can PM me if you'd like.

Thanks.

I have a question. I'm checking in CSR on 12/27/10 and checking out on 1/3/11.

Can I get 30% off for 1/1/11 and 1/2/11 ?

If so, do I have to split up my reservation into 2 ?

Thank you.

I am so excited about this promotion. The free dining is nice, but the room discount suits our family much better. We were able to upgrade to the Beach Club. Now if only December would get here sooner!

I had a two night trip to WL booked with Melissa at MJ this past June. I cancelled it in favor of another trip, but two nights was definitely no problem with them.

I would also like to know how to get this deal because I would love to stay at the Beach Club Villas one night for my birthday but I can't afford it. I could possibly do it with the 40% off so if anyone knows if there is a pin or something, please let me know!

Does this deal mean you have to travel before end of February or just book the trip before then?

Probably the free dining. From Disney's perspective your family consists of 5 adults. I believe for pricing (tickets & ddp) Disney considers a child to be ages 3-9.

I think the cost of an adult dining plan is around $46, so with 5 adults getting free dining, you would be saving about $230 per day getting the free dining. If you booked a room that had a rack rate of $400 per night, the savings would only be $160 p/night. For the room discount to be of better value your room would have to have a rack rate of about $575 per night to make the room discount greater than the free DDP.

I would rather have the room discount, in general, but also being a family of 5, the free dining generally works out to be the better deal, assuming you want to eat at TS.
