Travel between WDW and Orange Cty Convention Ctr ?s

DH has a convention at the Orange Cty Convention Ctr in March. We don't know where they have booked hotels yet but I really want to stay at the Swan or Dolphin so I can be close to the parks and he could commute to the CC since we will have our car. Has anyone else done this? Any advice on travel times? Is this completely crazy?

I have done it at least a half dozen times. I give my self 30 mins from one of the All Stars, but it is really more like 15 mins. Parking at the convention center is expensive though. Ten dollars for me a day 3 years ago.:mickey:

Looks like driving distance is around 13 miles. Should be doable.
