We have reservations for Pop Century standard room. We would like to stay near the parking lots, away from pools.

Any recommendations on which units are better?

Thanks,

Looking at the map:

Buildings 0, 1, 2, 7, 8,and 9 are all near parking areas. Buildings 0 and 1 MAY have rooms that are considered "Preferred" due to their proximity to the Food Court and Buses.

90's building is really good. Just stayed there the end of July and close to the bus stops. This is not a preferred building. If you do online check in I asked for ground level and near transportation and this is what we got.

We did the exact same thing. Requested 1st floor near transportation and got assigned to the 90's buildings.

Just about any of the standard rooms fit that bill. Just ask at check in and they can probably hook you up.

We stayed there in the 50 section. Down in the 2300 range. We were able to see the fire works for Epcot when we stayed there. Only down side was when returning from parks it was a bit of a walk to the room.

Just look at the resort map. Building 0 and 1 definitely have preferred rooms that are near the parking lot. If you do not like noise outside your room, 1st floor is not the way to go. The further you are from traffic areas (pool, ice, elevator, stairs), the quieter it will be.

We stayed in the 90's building before (building 8) Room 8364 which actually faced the pool but it was at the end closest the 90's parking lot. We would just cut across the lot to get to the bus stops. Not a bad location at all.
Rooms 37 thru 60 are on the opposite side of the building away from the pool but face the 90's parking lot. Same thing for the 50's building #1. Rooms 37 thru 60 face away from pool but towards parking lot. For example, room 1237 would be building 1 (first number) 2nd floor (second number) room 37 (last two digits)
So either of these would be your best bet for what you described while keeping you close to classic hall & buses. Personally I prefer the 50's because it has the added bonus of being closer to the DME area.
