I log on EVERY day looking for the AP rates to be released for the fall :fit:!!! I swear they are secretly trying to drive me crazy :crazy:!!!!! Lol!!!! :silly: I'm convinced it's a conspiracy :spy:!!!

Right there with ya. I may have to downgrade or postpone if we don't get an AP rate. Frustrating. :(

I'm in the same boat! AP rates end right when we start! I really could use some good news on a good discount

Same here. The current AP rates end 10/2 and we arrive 10/7. Without a 25% discount on value, it is going to put some strain on the trip. We will still go and deal with the ~$300 per room increase some other way when we get home.

The past few years, AP rates have come out on or around August 14/15. So -- hang on a few more days... you're almost there! Keeping :fingers: crossed for ya...

It just got 100x worse today. They announced room only discounts to the public for most dates. This was done prior to AP and Visa cardholders.

Honestly, I do not expect to see AP rate changes for the rest of the year. I think the general public rate just announced will wipe out any opportunity for an AP rate.

This is not typical of the discounts for the last several years. So strange that APs didn't a chance at discounts first.

AP rates have traditionally been used as "filler" rooms. There has never been any guarantee that AP rates will be released, or that they will be better than any public discount.

An AP should only be purchased for the admission benefits.

You're absolutely right, Tink1. I think I've been spoiled. Oh, well, it is good to have any kind of discount.

Back when I started doing this (1992) AP rates were unheard of during the Oct-Dec time frame. That actually lasted until the late 1990's/early 2000's.

I don't disagree with the AP being a guarantee for a room only discount. However, if a room only discount comes out, you would expect it to be offered to AP holders and Visa Card holders first. It is not completely out of the question to have this mentality when they have done this many times the last several years up through October 2, 2010. To stop so randomly is sort of ridiculous.
