What is the difference in the wilderness lodge and the wilderness lodge villas?

Wilderness Lodge (the hotel I hope to stay at one day) is a "regular" resort, while the Villas are a part of the DVC, and have studios, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom layouts.

The Lodge rooms are in the main building, and the Villas in their own building "next door".

Word of caution on the DVC studio rooms. They are tiny and the sofa bed is less comfortable than the floor. Our experience was at AKL, but WL will be no different. If you have the option of WL studio or WLV studio, take the WL over the DVC room IMHO.

to echo the above....a sofa bed (even at disney) is always a better sofa than a bed...and so unless the one sleeping in it is very light (a child or super thin) then they will generally become uncomfortable at some point during the night...especially if the mattresses have been used frequently and at WDW that is pretty much a given.
