ADR before MK opens

wasn't sure where to post this.
So we have an ADR at 8am and MK opens at 9am that day. If we get done eating and the park hasn't opened, where do you go from there? are you allowed to walk around in the park. Can you see the MK opening show from inside the park?
Just wondering how that works.

If you're done eating you can basically walk up and down Main St and in front of the castle. All walkways leading to the various lands are roped off until opening, and the shops usually aren't open (though, I think they sometimes will open one or two of the shops early), so there really isn't much to do other than take pictures with fewer crowds in them.

No, you can't see the opening show from inside. You'll need to walk back to the front of the train station to watch the opening show.

We've had 8:05am ADR's at CRT and CP, and we've never finished much before 9am. Usually, once we've eaten and seen the characters, the park is just opening. It is nice to beat the crowds in :)

by the time you are finished with breakfast the park should be just about opening. We are typically poised right in front of Fantasyland and head straight there when the parks open. We find that the lines are the shortest ecer right in the morning. Good luck!!!

A couple of months ago, we had a tour scheduled to begin right at park opening. We were allowed in before official park opening. We were able to wander up and down Main Street. Fast pass photographers were already in place and we were able to get pics with them in a couple of different spots.

The replies are accurate. We've done this before and will be doing it again in less than 2 weeks! Your choices will be to linger with the characters over breakfast, or wander around a virtually empty Main Street and castle for great pictures. Either way, you'll have a head start on the rides when they open.
