What are you interested in?
In Denver proper, there is a zoo, a nature and science museum, an art museum (King Tut show now through beginning of January), contemporary art museum, children's museum, aquarium, the Colorado state capitol, and a U.S. Mint. Also historical sites like Molly Brown's house.
Nearby is Golden, which has the Coors factory (free tour), a nice downtown area, a historical park, and is near Red Rocks (a nice walking area as well as concerts in the summer season) [Golden was the beginning- and end-point of the Amazing Race a few seasons ago]. Also Boulder, which has the Celestial Seasonings tea factory (another free tour), great walking paths near the Flatirons, a nice pedestrian mall, a wonderful teahouse, and lots of great vegetarian restaurants.
In November it could be sunny and gorgeous, or there could be three feet of snow. No way to tell.
Denver is home to one of my favorite Botanical gardens.
