Thinking about Oct.18-22 - Any thoughts?

Have stayed away long enough- kinda needed and had to do a two year WDW break. Thinking about planning a trip for October 18-22, this will be first time ever coming in October, for the past six times- it's always been just before school started up...late summer, hot and humid. Also looking forward to Halloween festivities and decor at WDW! Any thoughts? Thanks WDW Fanmily!

Well, it should be cooler and less humid. No guarantees as it can still be pretty warm in October, but generally it'll be a good bit better than August.

Crowds will be about the same to what you've seen late summer. Maybe even a little bigger. The Food & Wine Festival and MNSSHP have made October a pretty popular time to go, and with good reason since both events are a ton of fun. Also, many schools do fall break now, which also increases crowds. Still, they're manageable. Just be prepared for crowds--have a plan, use fastpass, etc.

We went once in October, it was great. Lots of extra Halloween concerts and activities. The weather was beautiful and lines were short. We would go again, but we need a break from winter!!
