18% Gratuity

We are a party of six and always count on paying the 18% gratuity at our TS meals. On another site that was updated as of June 2010 it says that at 1900 Park Fare 18% gratuity will be added to parties of 8 or more. Is this correct? And if so, has this been changed at all of the TS places?

There are a number of times when Disney adds the gratuity on to your bill automatically.
1. If you're using the Tables in Wonderland card
2. If you're on the Disney Dining plan
3. If your party is larger though I don't remember the exact cut-off point for when the gratuity is automatically added.

Hello,
I just booked for Crystal Palace and Tusker House for the last week of July. It is for 7 people. The CM gave me the final price. She said it did not include the 18% gratuity. I would take care of that at the restaurant.

I'm not sure what the deal with that is but as far as I know it is still parties of 6 or more. We are a family of 6 and every ADR I made for our upcoming trip came with the disclosure that an automatic gratuity of 18% will be added for parties of 6 or more. We have the Tables in Wonderland card so either way the automatic gratuity is getting added. It may have been a misprint.

I believe at 6 people it stops becoming a tip and becomes a surcharge. As mentioned it's aleady a surcharge for TiW diners, regardless of how many folks there are in the party.

Thanks! For the past eight years now we have been a party of six and I didn't think disney had changed it's policy regarding automatic gratuity. Just wanted to double check. Disney here we come!:mickey:
