July 7, 1898 – Paul Winkler, the 1st to establish Disney’s presence in France through publishing, was born in Budapest, Hungary.
July 7, 1931 – Disney’s Mickey Mouse cartoon “Mickey Steps Out” was released.
July 7, 1937 – Disney sound engineer William Garity filmed activities in the Disney Studios as publicity for “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” (to be used by RKO).
July 7, 1940 – Drummer-singer Ringo Starr, (the oldest Beatle) who recorded “When You Wish Upon A Star” on the 1988 release of “STAY AWAKE Various Interpretations of Music from Vintage Disney Films,” was born in Liverpool, England.
July 7, 1951 – Actress Roz Ryan, the voice of Thalia, Muse of Comedy in Disney’s animated “Hercules,” was born in Detroit, Michigan. Her Disney credits also include episodes of “Kim Possible” and “Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.”
July 7, 1953 – Disney’s animated feature “Peter Pan” was released in Argentina.
July 7, 1963 – The Disney Film “Summer Magic” was released.
July 7, 1971 – Animator Ubbe Ert Iwwerks (known as Ub Iwerks) died in Burbank, Ca,
July 7, 1972 – The Disney film “Now You See Him, Now You Dont’s” had its premiere in Edmonton, Canada. (General release was July 12, 1972)
July 7, 1976 – The Disney movie “Gus,” starring Ed Asner, Don Knotts, Gary Grimes, Tim Conway, Liberty Williams, Dick Van Patten, Ronnie Schell, and Dick Butkus, was released.
