Thanks! I am already booked, so I hope so!! Remember that your reservation will not automatically change over to free dining . . . if you booked directly through Disney, you'll need to call & have the reservation switched over.

So if I book a 7 night vacation from Oct 7 to 14th do I get the free dining for our entire trip assuming the resort room is available?

We are going to disney Dec 3-10...of course our week isn't listed. Does anyone know why? Am I missing something? I thought we were going at a value time, so it shouldn't be so busy. I'm so dissapointed!! Grrr!

I just called because we were going Nov 11th through Nov 17th. We were using the 30% pin. Unfortunately the 11th is a block out date so we would have to buy a separate reservation for park tickets and room for the 11th and pay for food that day too. It ended up adding over $600 to my bill. So in the long run the free dining only saved us about $300 over the 30% room rate so I think we are going to cancel everything and stay offsite. Im going with a bunch of people and they don't want to do it. It stinks because if I was going one day later I would save like $1000.00 but I already booked and paid for my flights so I cannot.

Thank you Debbie at MJ. We have 2 rooms booked Oct. 24-28 and we saved $550 for each room. We hadn't received any pin codes yet, so this was a great surprise this morning. Now we just have to wait until Oct.

Thanks to Terrisue, I saved an extra $800 with the free dining for 12/11--12/19 for the 3 of us. Can't wait to go and I've already made my ADR's on line --- that was so easy to do.

I'm going to WDW 11/5-11/12. Does anyone have any idea why these dates would be blacked out?

This will be 2 trips in a row where we are unable to take advantage of any Disney discounts grr. I got a PIN code previously but it was less than my AAA discount, thanks a lot...

Kathy at MJ, We hope you know that you are :number1: with us. Thank you for the e-mail, and the switching of the reservations! We now get to stay at the GF, and have saved over $1000 over our previous reservation!! Thanks from V @ G in TN, and Mattie and Jennie will be going to partake in the new Doggie, and Kitty Resort too! With our savings we can take them with us to board at Disney instead of boarding them here. Thanks once again. You and MJ are simply fantastic! Pixie Dust all around for every one!:pixie:

I was planning on 12/3 to 8 and it was blocked out. If I check in on 12/2 instead I would get the free dining. That is what we are doing now. 12/2 to 12/7. Thanks Kathy at MJ.

We are going Nov 10 thru Nov 20, is there any way we can make this work without making three reservations? We have a 40% pin applied for the 14th thru the 20th at this time.I think the free dinning would still save us more but I'm not sure.

Seeing that we are hearing quite a bit of confusion over the actual dates of the offer and the black out dates (as are the CM's at Disney), I am posting them again in hopes it clears up any questions.

Dates for the Free Dining Offer:
Aug.15 to Oct. 7 arrivals
Oct.22 to Oct.28 arrivals
Nov.12 to Nov.18 arrivals
Nov.27 to Dec.2 arrivals
Dec.10 to 21 arrivals

Dates Blacked Out for Arrivals:
Oct.8 to Oct.21 arrivals
Oct.29 to Nov.11 arrivals
Nov.19 to 26 arrivals
Dec.3 to 9 arrivals

Answers to the top 3 questions we have been seeing:

As long as you have checked in by the last date of one of the Free Dining Plan time periods, you will have the dining plan for free for the length of your vacation even if some of your dates overlap into a blacked out time period.
Ex: You check in on Nov.18 for 7 nights. You would have the Free dining plan for all 7 nights even though the dates of Nov.19 to 25 are blacked out for arrivals!

The Free Dining Offer may not be combined with any other offer you currently have from Disney. If you have a pincode offer and switch to Free Dining, your room rate will go back to full price. If you are booked at a Deluxe Resort and have a 40% off pincode or bounceback offer, odds are good that your current discount is much better than the Free Dining offer.

As for Disney's reasoning for the dates blocked out, only Mickey knows and he isn't sharing!

Hope this helps!

Wendy

Yippee!!! I made really good ADR's (well, the online adr system let me (and a bunch of others) in a week early by accident) hoping that free dining would come back and it did. I don't even care that I had to pay $10 a day to upgrade to the standard plan since we are staying a a value resort. Free dining is just SUCH a relief.

We just put a roof on the house this year and are squeezing this trip into the budget so this REALLY helps!!

What if I am there whe free dining starts. For example 11/6/14...free dining date is 11/12....is there anything for that?

Unless you want to make a second package reservation starting on 11/12, you are pretty much down to AAA discounts or hoping for a room only type discount....If you have booked through MJ, they will keep you up to date on what is available for your dates.

Question....

I booked a 9 day stay at the Caribbean Beach in September, with the 40% off promotion.

Can I still get the free dining, or is it void if you got the discount? (okay, okay, I'm greedy.)

If you are booked at a Deluxe Resort and have a 40% off pincode or bounceback offer, odds are good that your current discount is much better than the Free Dining offer.

When I was in WDW in May, I emailed Denise @ MJ & she was able to apply the bounceback offer to the November POFQ reservation she was already handling for me. When the free dining was extended, she checked to see if it would save more for me over the bounceback offer & she discovered that the bounceback offer was the better of the 2 discounts--thanks Denise!!

We are booked for arrival on 11/15th to 11/20/2010 and from what I understand as long as you arrive on one of the accepted dates listed you can extend for how ever long at least 5 nights to get the free dining and...We paid to upgrade to Deluxe Dining...just so I can get to try a few signature Restaurants this time ! We have ADR's for Narcoosee's and California Grill...during a MVMCP...so I finally get to see Holiday Wishes from the Observation Deck...so cool !

My problems is that we are booked from 11/11 through 11/17th. 11/11 is blocked out. We already have our flight and are traveling with about 25 people. I had the 30% off moderate. They would not let me have the free dining for the first night so they made a separate ressie for the first night and it cost me an extra $1000 for the one night???? If I go 11/12 through the 11/17 its $1000 cheaper but I cannot change my flight. What can I do?

In reply to the post above mine...I would see about a hotel off site for the first night.
