New Star Tours Ride?

Are they taking the old ride out completely? I don't see how it can be updated if they don't ? Just wondering what they will be doing!! Thanks!!

i thought they were going to abandon the old concept and go with one pertaining to the dreadful newer movies. Pod racing, I thought...I could be wrong though so feel free to correct me Intercot friends. ;)

It's not completely being taken out. It'll still center around the same star cruiser that you've been riding with 3d (and other) new effects. There will be a pod racing aspect to it as well as going across Coruscant and other places.

Even though it will be closed during my trip in October, I am so excited that they are working to improve their already existing attractions. I am looking forward to the new ride, even though I liked the old ride.

It's supposed to open May 17, 2011 at WDW, so you should see it with no problem during SWW barring any delays.

I could not stand the old ride i hope they do something completely different. I was really disappointed by it, and i never get sick from motion rides but on this one i did.

i actually was hoping for a complete redo, a new ride system, etc. I think just changing the film and adding new 3d effects isn't enough

I believe there will be 3 different ride films, so part of the fun will be choosing were to go
