Photos of Renovated OKW rooms? This is what I know...

I just saw a video on youtube of a renovated 1BR at OKW. It gave a good look, but it went so fast it was hard to take in all the changes. Does anyone have any pics of a newly renovated rooms? That would be very helpful for side by side comparisons.

I do know from the video that they:

refinished/reused the furniture, its darker
reupholstered the couches/chairs
removed the carpet in the LR and replaced it with wood, new carpet everywhere else
put granite on the surfaces of the kitchen, but the backsplash tile is still in place
painted
mostly new drapes/window coverings
new bedspreads (still polyester!)



Please, if you have stayed at an OKW renovated room, post your pics! Or if you will be at OKW soon, and you get a renovated room, post pics please! Any info you can provide would be appreciated as well.... TIA!

I didn't think that they were going to start the refurb until next Spring.When are they supposed to be done?We'd like to stay there when it's all done.

We have been debating switching over to OKW for our upcoming trip. Does anyone know how the renovations are moving along? When do they plan to be completed? Are certain bldgs. done already or a certain section completed. If we move over there I would want a refurbed room. On another site, several people mentioned how dated and run down and at times dirty and gross the rooms were. My DM is very much a clean fanatic. Any Intercotees have an opinion? Really feeling unsure about this...

I was thinking the same thing. I hope they do too. I would imagine that it would me much louder with just the hardwoods. The carpet used to absorb so much sound.

I, too, was disappointed to hear about the lack of carpet in the living room.

And the new decor is kind of dark--didn't the dining table used to be a whitish finish? I always loved the lightness of the decor at OKW, it felt very "Florida" to me, considering I live in the Northeast!

I called Member Services today and asked when the refurb is expected to be completed. The rep looked at her communication and it said approximately one year to complete - and that was from earlier this year when the renovations started. It sounds like they should finish by year end or shortly afterwards.

Just checked them out! I love the new bedroom decor. The color scheme is more my taste than the previous. Everything looks amazing but I still wish they would put some kind of throw rug in the middle of the living room where the hardwoods are. My kids love to blow off some steam and play on the floor. The carpet always absorbed most of the sound now I'm thinking it is going to be much louder then it used to be.
