Hello.

Just a quick question...

We're staying in a BCV studio the 3rd week of August. I know there is a laundry room and that it is free, but is it open 24 hrs?

(I'm an insomniac and I like to be productive when I can't sleep.) :mickey:

Thanks!

Hi Jen,

Not 100% certain but I believe it is. If I remember its outside by one of the quiet pools. We've used it late in the evening while watching the kids swim, so you should be fine. Maybe another poster can give you more specific information.

The Beachclub does have the laundry facilities offered by the quiet pool, but they are certainly not free.

I have done laundry very late and have had no problem - just bring lots of quarters because usually the change machine is not working and you would have to walk all the way to the lobby.

I believe (but not certain) that if you are staying in the villas on DVC points you may use the villa laundry for free. Otherwise the ones by the quiet pool are $2 per wash and $2 per dry, at least they were last year.

The villa laundry is on the fourth floor and it is (or at least was last year) open 24 hours.

This is exactly correct. There is free laundry offered to DVC guests. The washers/driers by the quiet pool are for all guests, but are not free.

How do they know if you are a DVC member or not when you do laundry?

The public laudry machines only work with quarters. The DVC laundry facilities are in the BC Villas building (you can check with a cast member for exact locations) and require your DVC key card to get in for complimentary use.

The room card...or our actual Member card?

Your room key. If you are there on DVC points, the key will recognize you as a member.
