So that is my question... is July still tour month?

We have been in July before and stayed away previously because of it being tour month. Not sure if that is still in place or not.

TIA:mickey:

Yep. We've just trained ourselves to walk in the other direction when we see the army of flags in the area we were going to visit. We're aware of them, but CMs do a pretty good job of ensuring they stay together and don't totally clog an attraction. However, like I said, we prefer to head in a different direction if we time it poorly.

Yeah I was afraid that it hadn't changed. I stood behind a tour leader getting fastpasses at EE at AK once. She had to have had at least 100 tickets. I was able to finally move to another machine to get tickets.

Ugh, I think that might be worse than the summer Florida heat and humidity!

lol, oh well WDW here we come!! :mickey:

Now I remember why we haven't gone in July for the past 10 years!!!

we waited for an hour for Stitch's Great Escape......the woman in front of me was from S. America but held a conversation in English very well. As we were walking in to the bldg. she allowed at least 15 young girls to cut ion front of us. When the crowd started calling her on it she suddenly began to say "Lo ciento.....no hable engles" .......The Cm's did NOTHING!

While we were standing by the lagoon waiting for Illuminations to start, the lights went out......about 50 people stood up.....the Brazilian tour group behind us that was sitting on the ground began to boo!! SO people started standing ON the fence to block their view even more.........

We went to get fast passes for BTMRR at 8 in the morning and three tour guides were taking ALL of them......the come back time was, at that point, 9 PM............

Never again....................

We've had many experiences like that - even cutting in line at the bathrooms. Why do they think we're all standing there???

July is hot in the northern hemisphere and cold in southern hemisphere. I don't see that changing anytime soon.

During the cold months of the year, I'm always looking for a way to warm up, I bet others feel the same way.

Many of the tour groups are from South American countries....

My favorite was when we saw a couple young girls at the end of the group stop and pick up some of those cooling fans and went on their merry way.
It was disgusting!
We told the CM and she said it she could not do anything about it.

That's exactly why we don't go in July anymore  It just wasn't worth the added stresses. Rude people make my blood boil!! Good luck to all those travelling in July!!

Rats...we are heading down July 2-5. Last minute trip. We expect crowds because of holiday weekend but hadn't heard about the tours. I've encountered some of the Brazilian tour groups before and sadly they do the things people in prior posts have stated...cut lines, push people....but, Its still Mickey so we will make the best of it.

September... Where it feels just as hot as July, and you get to feel crowded by all the "love bugs" flying about. :mickey:

Actually, it's not bad!

When I was down in September of '03, those things were EVERYWHERE. It was also VERY hot & humid, and the park hours stunk (MK closed by 7 every night), but we got to ride everything we wanted to without super long waits.
