We have always stayed at a value resort when visiting Disney but for our up-coming trip in Oct, we will be staying at POR. :joy:

We seen many pictures but would really love to have everyones "little tip" about this resort. Tell us about the food court (if there is 1- can we bring our own cereal, bagels to toast, etc), carriage rides any & everything that you love about this resort.

Thanks!:mickey:

Yep, it has a great food court. Don't know what to say other than you'll notice that the offerings are a little more "upper-class" than the offerings at the value food courts.

Four bus stops, so there is usually one pretty close to your building.

Great pool. Fun water slide. Love the boat to DTD.

We love this resort. The landscaping looks overgrown, but it's by design. It's easy to get lost here. Use your map.

We plan on staying at the French Quarter next May. I have gone on YouTube and searched for videos of the resort. There are some good ones of both sections at POR.

Check it out!!

Favorite resort. Have stayed in both the Alligator Bayou and the Mansions. Liked the Bayou the best. Great themeing. Like was mentioned the landscaping especially in Alligator Bayou makes you feel you are on the bayou. Use the map and chart the quickest route to a bus stop as they are spread throughout the resort. If you are staying in Alligator bayou it is important to pick certain landmarks (e.g. turn left at bldg. 12 then right at the first sidewalk) or might find yourself lost. Have never stayed at the value resorts but the food court here is excellent. When we were there one of our favorite things for the whole family was to be entertained by the singer in the lounge.:party:

They have a wonderful 'make your own pasta' at the POR food court...enough to feed two persons...you select what sauce and what you want in the pasta and they cook right in front of you.

..one of the best food courts around....plus, if you don't like it, or have your fill of it, it's only a short boat ride to the FQ to try theirs...(which I highly suggest).(get their beginets)...there are 5 quiet pools to choose from and one signature pool, so lots of water. It's very shaded and laid back, very quiet.....just a few of my favorite things.....
