Ok so the most anticipated Major League arrival since his being drafted #1 by the Nationals pitched last night. With the hype of ESPN for 2 weeks with a line on the crawl (Strasburg debut 6-8-10 vs. Pittsburgh) he goes out there and pitches lights out for 7 innings. Ok so he made one mistake that ended up in the seats but 14 K's is unheard of for a major league debut. What is more amazing is that he only threw 94 pitches while striking out 14. Normally for a strikeout pitcher that number is way up there because of trying to get them to chase a bad pitch here or there. Looking at the replays he challenged every hitter. And once they hit his changeup he relied heavily on his fastball. Yes he threw it over 100 mph late in the game.

Not to induct him into the hall on only one start but you gotta admit he was tough last night. This kid is amazing.

Good thing he isn't with the Cubs b/c he would develop elbow issues and be done with baseball. See Prior, Mark and Wood, Kerry.

DS22 saw him at his last game in Syracuse. Said he was very good.
