I've heard that you can purchase a wine ticket for around $30 that will allow you to sample wines around Epcot. Can anyone confirm/deny? And is it only during the F & W Festival or all year long? We've gone the past 3 years during the F & W Festival but haven't heard about it.

I have never heard of this. Interesting. I can't imagine Disney actually doing this. Maybe you heard about a specific tasting event? They have some of those which require separate fee during F & W, but they're specific to a certain venue, not for all of WS.

*Yes, I was researching this and it seems like a myth, or that you're confusing with some of the tasting events-- but even those during F & W tend to cost more than $30. You can add the wine package to your dining plan, which entitles you to one bottle a day, from a specific list at most restaurants. And there are various wine tastings around World Showcase for individual fees, depending (usually less than $30). At Germany, Italy, and France.

Where did you hear of this, and has anyone else heard it? Still curious.

I've heard about it and seen it...but I don't drink :(

I believe they are just 'samples' or small glasses and I've seen them in Germany and Italy...

I thought I read somewhere that it was $20 for four samples and they didn't have to be used all in one trip.

That's what I heard. They are samples. But only in certain countries..... and is it year round or just during F & W? I'm big into :wine:

Yes, that is year round. But it's not a ticket, and not $30. Italy, Germany, and France offer wine tastings year round. You purchase the tasting flights at the stores in the various countries- but they are separate purchases per flight, not all three for one price.

I remember reading about a Wine Walk-About last year. They also had a Beer one. I think you bought a passport and were allowed a certain number of samples. I can't find my book but will look for it.

My daughter and her BF did this in Jan. It's called a wine walk and it's $20. It includes two tastes each in Italy, Germany and France. You can purchase it in any of the three countries.
It's available all year long.

Aha, very cool. I hadn't heard about this as a one price thing. Glad the OP asked.

This is one of my favorite things to do! I still have the card from our past trip - Here are the details

World Showcase Wine Walk
$20 it includes six 2oz wine samples (2 per location)
Germany (located at Weinkeller)
Italy (located at Enoteca Castello)
France (located at Aux Vins De France)

You can buy the card at any of the locations and when you redeem them they stamp your card. You also do not need to redeem them all in the same day or at the same time. On our last trip we bought a card for each adult and not everyone used them, so some of us returned on another evening to finish them.

I'm dreaming of the day when they have a card that includes all the countries:mickey:

That's actually a good deal. When you do them separately, you get four 2 oz glasses at each location for about $15 per person.

Sorry, stupid question but where do you buy the card? Inside the gift shops, or like at the stands around the world showcase? (I can't remember if all 3 of those countries have stands, but I know france does - is it like out there that you buy the card?)

One of the sites I was looking at says you can purchase the cards in the wine shops of those three countries.
