We were in the parks a couple of weeks ago and brought Pal Mickey. He giggles when he passes a sensor, but when you squeeze his hand, he doesn't say anything.

Has anyone else had this problem? He's worked in the past and we always put new batteries in him before we leave.

Thank you.

What is a Pal Mickey? It sounds interactive and very fun for children. I have never seen one.

I have not taken Pal Mickey in years.

He is still showing up on WDW website as being able to give information on certain attractions. I'm not sure he'd give show times or parade information anymore.

I heard they were planning on phasing him out in the next couple of years because of new technology so I don't know if they are in the process of doing that or what. With all the new apps on verizon cell phones with the park maps and parade times, wait times, etc., it kinda makes Pal Mickey look like old technology. Even though he is WAAAY cuter than a cell phone :mickey:

I'm sorry to hear that he isn't working anymore. My DD loved her Pal Mickey, made her feel "special" when he told things about parades, wait times, etc. Plus, it kept her entertained with games and jokes while waiting for the bus.

My pal mickey never seemed to do anything but tell jokes. He really wasn't very useful as far as parade times and such
