Royal Plaza

I have never gone to Disney and not stayed in the parks but we are going with some neighbors and we want to do 2 days a Universal so we thought we would try it. Has anyone stayed at Royal Plaza its near downtown disney I guess. It has been recently redone, I am told. I haven't booked yet so I am open to all suggestions. The only thing is the hotel must sleep 5 as we have 3 kids. What would you Disney experts suggest?:D

We stayed there in 1995 and thought it was fine. The buses were as prompt as Disney buses. The room was much nicer and larger than what you get for the same price at a Disney hotel. But that was in 1995. Fifteen years can change a lot. Hopefully you will hear from someone who has stayed there more recently.

I saw a really good rate for this hotel today. Trying to find my offsite hotel for our August trip. I'm interested in any reviews as well.

We stayed there a couple years back when we decided to extend a couple of nights at the end of our trip.

Rooms are beautiful...we stayed in the main tower...gorgeous views!
