We are headed to WDW in Oct, 2010, have purchased a pkg.for 8 days, 7 nights. Purchased tickets for Halloween at MK. Tickets not park hoppers. Might not use 2 tickets because of traveling time (plane) and one for a water park not included in pkg. Any suggestions on how to use these tickets most apprecitated. Also, need a stroller. Best way to get a deal, do not want to take our own on plane. Three adults, one 6 yr. old. First trip to WDW with our granddaughter. [Package includes tickets for everyday we are there.FONT="Arial"]:cloud9:[/FONT]

When you get to the turnstyles, you put the tickets in the reader (face up or face down, doesn't matter), and put your finger on the biometric scanner. The first time you do this, it locks the ticket into your fingerprint, everytime after that, it verifies that the fingerprint is the same.

For a stroller, you can either rent one (Disney is expensive) or bring your own. We bring one, you can use it all the way back to the resort if need be. We go with one that's small and lightweight. Lugging those on a bus and trampling over people isn't fun.

Since they are not hoppers, You will only be able to visit ONE theme park per day. You can leave that one park and come back to that same park on the same day, but you CANNOT use another admission to get into another theme park on that day. The ONLY way to do that is with the park-hopper option. (The Disney water parks are NOT considered Theme parks for this purpose, but you have to pay a separate admission for those).

You just need to decide which parks you want to visit on which days. If you don't have the no-expire option, any unused admission days will be useless after 14 days from your first park visit. But that's no big loss, since those extra days admissions on your tickets only cost $3 per day.

You can also rent a stroller from a company in the Orlando area. I've not done this but others on here have reported success. The company may be called Orlando Stroller Rentals.

As long as you're more than 45 days from your trip, you can call Disney and order a smaller ticket. In other words, if you think you'll be going to theme parks only 6 days instead of 8, simply change the ticket from an 8-day to a 6-day ... as long as you are more than 45 days from your trip, you will NOT be charged a fee for making this change.

Yes, it's true that by downgrading from an 8-day to a 6-day you'll be saving only $6 + tax per person, but if you're sure you won't be using those extra days, why pay for them? For the 4 of you, that's $24 + tax you'll save by downgrading the ticket by the deadline.

If you are going to a water park only one time, then you are correct to NOT have the Water Parks addition to your ticket ... you are correct to just pay for that one admission to the water park when you go there.

For those worried about getting their "fingerprint recorded", it does NOT take your fingerprint.

Biometrics records a number, according to the SHAPE of your finger, onto the magnetic portion of your ticket.

Fingerprint recording is a common misconception.

Fingerprint recording is a common misconception.I agree that it does not record your fingerprint, and therefore should not be a cause of concern for anyone in terms of privacy.

But just to be precise, the current biometric scanner doesn't take into account the shape of your finger ... it DOES take a look at the actual fingerprint, but what it does is measure the distance between certain aspects of the fingerprint and then run those numbers through a proprietary algorithm to end up with a number, commonly known as a "hash."

And the hash cannot be reverse engineered, meaning that no one can see a hash and recreate what someone's fingerrprint looked like.

I, also, am travelling to WDW in October. Likewise, I am not using the Park Hopper option - One park per day for me this trip. I am going to the Halloween party in the MK. This party is a hard-ticketed event..that means it is its own admission ticket. What I am going to do is go to EPCOT for the first part of the day, and then go rest up for the party, and then use the hard ticket to get into the Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom. That way you get to visit two parks on the same day without having to purchase the Park Hopper Option!

Just because you're going to the party, doesn't mean you have to spend the entire day in that park.
