Arcade vouchers

Can you take an arcade voucher from last year that wasn't used and use it this year? Or are they coded with the dates? I have a friend that is leaving this weekend and she still has her arcade voucher from last spring because they didn't have time to use it.

It never hurts to try, but normally everything in the package you receive from Disney has an activation - your arrival date and expiration - midnight of your departure date.
