OK, if we book our hotel, and a deal is announced for the time we are planning, can we call and get the deal?:mickey:
Thanks

Yes, but my suggestion is to use Magical Journeys and let them handle it for you. They've been wonderful about applying any applicable discounts to my reservation, and I don't have to do a thing. In fact, even when a discount comes out that isn't as good as the offer I have, I STILL get an email saying, "hey, we checked your reservation to see if this discount would save you more money, and it won't, so we left it alone". There's no charge for their services, and I won't book without them EVER again. My mom & I both booked our trips through MJ and we've each saved over $1100 thanks to them being on top of the announced discounts.

Yes, IF there is a 'slot' available when you call in. Discounts are generally limited in the number of 'slots' available - be it rooms, tickets. whatever, and if you miss the beginning of the discount period, it would be possible to be shut out of the discount.

Best bet is to use an agency, like Magical Journeys (an INTERCOT sponsor) to book your trip. They will take care of the 'leg work' in tracking down and applying any existing/new discounts to get you the best possible pricing for your vacation.

If you are signed up on Disneys website you could also get a pin code. I booked a trip for Oct. about a month later I got a pin code that saved us 1340.00. Us Magical Journeys they are great and will keep an eye out for anything that will save you money.

Remember, these discounts are based on occupancy. The higher Disney's occupancy rates are the less likely they are to release discounts. Also, not all rooms/resorts/etc have to be discounted. So, if they are light on value room bookings, they can release discounts only for those and none for Mods/Deluxe resorts.

Making a reservation and waiting on dsicounts actually hurts your chances of getting a discount. Not that it won't happen, but you putting yourself at a disadvantage.

On our first on-site trip, we booked it directly through Disney. We had paid it all off early, and then the first free dining discount came out.

It was the most frustrating month or so of my life! Everytime I called Disney and tried to rebook, I kept getting told that I didn't have the right "code", or that rooms weren't available. It was crazy, I kept seeing the ads, but couldn't rebook.

Finally, I somehow got it all sorted out, got the right code at the right time and was able to apply the new rates to my reservation.

All of this to say, yes it is possible, but not a guarantee. Since that first trip, I've booked with Magical Journeys, and Debbie takes care of all of the hard work for me

Yes, you can have a discount applied to your package after booking based on availability. Just call with the pin code and see if the new deal is better than the one you have booked and they will apply it for you.

I've had discounts applied after booking at least three times, directly through Disney, with no problems. Just make sure you call as soon as you find out about the discount or get the pin code! :mickey:

After several years of trying to book or adjust my reservations myself, I now let MJ handle it for me. In the past I've spent up to 45 minutes on hold with CRO trying to get a discount applied. Now I wake up in the morning and magically :magic: Karen at MJ has applied the discount. I will never try to book on my own again.
