Since we have such little legs with us is there any preferred rooms or buildings you would recommend (i.e. close to bus stops, food courts, main building, beach, play area) ? Thanks again intercot!!!:mickey:

When you booked your room at CBR, they would have asked you if you want preferred, waterview, or standard. Preferred rooms are in buildings, Martinique and North Trindad. You pay extra for these rooms. They are near the food court and the pool. If you just booked a standard room, you can request what you want but it is not guaranteed as with the preferred room. Jamaica and Aruba are good choices for the standard room as you are a walk over bridge to food court and pool. Check out "info central" and go to accommodations and resort maps. They will show you the bus stops for each building and where the quiet pools are located for buildings. They will also help you see where the food court and main pool is in relation to the room location you are interested in at the CBR.
Concerning moderate resorts, CBR is one of Disney World's largest resorts. POFQ is much smaller and convenient when traveling with little ones. Check out the POFQ resort map also to see the difference in size. You are talking 2,000+ guest rooms vs. 1000 guest rooms.

Not all of Martinique is preferred location. Half of Martinique's buildings are, and half are not; all of Trinidad North's buildings are preferred location.

"Preferred location" at CBR means one of the closest guest buildings to Old Port Royale, the complex that has the main pool, food court, shops, restaurant, arcade, etc.

Every village has its own so-called "quiet" pool. Every village has its own bus stop. Therefore, there's no such thing as a room that can be too far from either of those.

At Carribean Beach, consider this: The water-view rooms will be closest to the lake in the center...thus it will be farthest from the bus stops on the road that circles the resort. I find that, if one is concerned about getting out the door quickly in the morning and possibly carrying tired children at night, the buildings closest the bus stops would be a GOOD choice.

You can get a water-view when their legs are longer and no longer need carrying.

The resort map at info central is so helpful in displaying the bus stops and then you can make a decision on where you want your room to be located. Enjoy your trip!

We really liked Jamaica. It is not considered preferred, but it is only a short walk (nice walk)across the bridge to the food court, main pool, etc.

We have also paid for preferred and stayed in Martinique. That was nice too if you want to pay for the preferred location.

Not exactly.

At CBR, "water view" means EITHER a view of the lake OR a view of that village's quiet pool. Therefore, not every water view room is along the lakefront, and therefore not every water view room is relatively far from the village bus stop.
