We have a late flight planned for our check out day. Would bell services hold our luggage til its time for us to board the magical express back. Have any of you done this before? Thanks for the help

Hi, we have done this on all 3 of our trips and have never had an issue.

On our last trip, we were able to check our baggage at the resort and only had to pick up our carry on baggage then get on DME.

We usually go to the park for a while then come back to the resort to have late lunch do a little last minute resort shopping and wait for DME to make sure we are not running late.

We always have a late flight back. Bell services will not only hold your luggage for magical express, but they will have it checked into the airline. They will also hold your carry on until you get back. Of course DD won't cost anything, you will need a ticket to get into park. Last December, on our last day, we realized we did not have length of stay ticket, but since we had had park hoppers, it only cost us an extra $3.50 per ticket for the day.

We did that almost every trip! Not a problem! They will put tags on your luggage and give you a claim check for when you return.

Now that Southwest is part of Resort Check-In, we don't even have to worry about that anymore! Last trip, we checked our luggage in the morning, went to DTD, came back to get our DME bus and never thought about our luggage until we got to our home airport! Our luggage was already there - it had been put on an earlier flight!!!

Bell services will not only hold your luggage for magical express, but they will have it checked into the airline.

This will only be the case if you are flying on an airline that takes part in Resort Check-In.

Bell services will not only hold your luggage for magical express, but they will have it checked into the airline. .The statement I quoted is incorrect. My response below may seem nit-picky, but details are very important, and can make the difference between a good time and a bad time.

Bell Services CAN'T, under any circumstances, check your bags into your airline for you. In other words, I'd hate to see someone have Bell Services store their bags, then they fly home, and their luggage isn't at their home airport's baggage claim because the luggage is still in their Disney resort's luggage storage room.

People flying "participating airlines" can use a service called Resort Airline Check-in. RAC is completely separate from Bell Services. The staff at RAC aren't even Disney cast members, they are employees of a company called BAGS Inc.

Resort Airline Check-in is, basically, curbside check-in like at the airport, only it's at your resort instead. At the RAC desk, you show ID, check in for your flight and check your bags through to your final destination, just like with curbside check-in at the airport.

Your resort's Bell Services cast members CAN'T bring your bags to the RAC desk and check them in for you ... you must be present at RAC to check-in yourself.

If you are flying one of the "participating airlines," you can use RAC, the desk is open between 5:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and you can't check-in there any later than 3 hours before your flight.
