if you could pick one dining experience that you would not miss the next time you go to disneyworld, what would it be?

We have two "can't miss" places. 50's Prime Time Cafe and the Coral Reef. For us, the quality of food, quality of service and the atmosphere have consistently made these are favorites. We enjoy many other meals at WDW, but we always come back to these two. :mickey:

Depends....If it is all 5 of us (me, DH, and our 3 boys) then T-Rex, they love that place.

If just DH and I, than San Angel Inn, we go there every adults only trip. :mickey:

I'm sure others will have much more fancier responses, but this is what works for us.:)

our new never miss is Citricos. We've visited the last five times we've gone to Disney. Each and everytime we have wonderful service, the delicious food, and a lovely setting. Even if we aren't staying at the grand, we love to stroll the property, listen to the piano player, and watch the stream of parks guests, bridal parties, and little princesses walking in and out of the resort.

It sounds silly, but Earl of Sandwich. I'm a sucker for a hot sandwich on fresh baked bread like that.

BOMA!! :chef: and Grand Floridian Cafe breakfast for TS.

California Grill, Artist Point, and Jiko - we rotate and do at least one of these every trip.

Cosmic Rays and Tangerine Cafe for CS.

I think the "never go back" list is more informational.

#3 never return: Chefs de France
why? very unauthentic, who wants frozen French food?

#2 never return: Rainforest Cafe
why? too cheesy and the food is on par with Red Robin (which I like, but not for $15/meal)

#1 never return: Whispering Canyon Cafe
why? the worst food in Disney, the worst service in Disney, eugh, I will NEVER RETURN (and it's such a shame because I love the Wilderness Lodge)

NEVER MISS
Artist Point. Always make time to go there. Great food. Great service.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Whispering Canyon. Tried it twice and both times had the absolute worst service I've had at Disney. Food is mediocre.

I think a lot of this depends on the company you keep...but I've had magical dining moments with great friends at the following restaurants:

California Grill - window table with MK view...with the castle lights shifting in the darkness...main street all lit-up, great food.

Liberty Tree Inn - back when it was a character meal (sorry...but it was a crazy, late meal with the characters! Chip & Dale used the tea selection box as bongo drums and Goofy was dancing. I laughed until I was about sick!)

1900 Park Fare - Great breakfast surrounded by people celebrating great moments in their life...great characters, lots of laughing. Then we took the boat and watched the opening of the MK! Perfect.

Biergarten - always had a great time there with friends (adult - granted, the beer may have been a factor).

These choices are a combination of great food, great setting, great compatriots, and the perfect moment in time.

Ohana is ours. Ironically, however, we are not going to Ohana's but, to Kona Cafe this October for some sushi.

More realistically though, TONGA TOAST is a must... but, we get it at Captain Cooks.

We are trying to eat at new places and are doing our best not to revert back to our tried and true places.

We're like a lot of posters here in that our favorites are Boma and 'OHana. Le Cellier is quite good, too. It's funny, because we always seek out new places to eat on each trip - but we almost always get back to Boma and/or 'OHana every trip - awesome places to eat!

Crystal Palace breakfast before the park opens. NOTHING like it. It is now a family tradition to go there.

You get to walk down Main Street with practically no one... the day stretched before you... a yummy breakfast with Pooh and friends on a sunny FL morning... can't beat it, in my opinion.
