What is this like? Do you have any good tips to offer or requests guests should make?

Our first stay in the South Wing was in 1975...our last was in 2006...
If you like sitting on the patio, ask for first floor....wings have no balconies. DW loves sitting out, watching birds, and the Electric Water Parade....Our last stay at CR, we were in room 5108. Close enough to the pool, dock, and tower for a very short walk, but away from traffic and noise. I would recommend 5105-5127....on first floor, towards dock....Walk to pool, dock, or tower either inside or out...
Avoid 5X51-5X68...Parking lot and monorail view...
Rooms 6xxx are furthest from tower, but 6X08-6X23 have great view of Bay Lake. No walk is unacceptably long, but shortest walks to tower are from rooms 5X01-5X15 (dock view) and 5X62-5X72 (parking lot view).

If you are a coffee drinker, bring your own...theirs is not so good. I enjoyed a mug from the Food and Fun Center (no longer open) while sitting on the dock in the early morning, waiting for the rest of the clan to stir...

Walking to the MK for opening, or from the MK at closing is really special...

Sinks in bathroom are strange..about 18"x24"x3", with flat bottoms....No real vanity area in bathroom...

Closets, fridge, drawers, ect in entryway causes some traffic problems.
