We are planning a trip between Christmas and New Years and we have a few questions...will all the Christmas celebrations still be available to us?...what is the weather usually like at this time?...would we be able to use the pools?

All the decorations will still be up. Not sure if MVMCP runs after X-mas. Weather is very iffy. If it's warm enough you can use the pools. We've experienced weather in the 80's to weather in the 40's. Love disney at Christmas.

trip during christmas as well. I was there for the Millenium Celebration....and that was the largest crowd in Disney history according to some cast members........but it has been 10 yrs.....and two children ago so any pointers would be much appreciated. :mickey:

It is crazy crowded, but still better than NOT being at Disney. They've never run the Very Merry Christmas Party after Christmas; but they do run the Candlelight Processional for the week after Christmas. Decorations are up through New Years Day, but they pop them down literally overnight in certain places.

Weather is iffy. We've been in shorts some years and winter coats with hats and mittens other years.

Despite the crowds and possible cold, we've gone that week for the 8 out of the past 12 Christmas breaks from school, so it's not impossible!

Expect lots of company during that time frame. It's one of the busiest times to be at Disney World.

As noted, weather can be quite variable at that time of year. You might be able to swim and wear shorts. You might need your mittens and winter coat. It might fall somewhere between the two extremes. You might experience all of the above during the same trip!

MVMCP usually has its last debut on the 18th or 19th, so it isnt usually available for the week of christmas.
