Just ate there on Saturday night. The pot roast was just spectacular. I know it may just seem on the surface to be pot roast, but when you serve it with yorshire pudding, red bliss wedges, baby carrot and cabbage, onion jam, and a cold grog, what a meal. Very impressed.

One of favorite places. I was there in December and ate the pork roast with apples. That was really good too. I remember my dad having post roast and he raved about it too.

Great to hear others like it as much as we do. We enjoyed the fish & chips as well as the drink menu. Fabulous and will definitely go back! Great view too!:thumbsup:

talk about amazing! i had the bangers and mash, which sounds simple but was still excellent. i dislike cabbage quite a bit, but found myself gobbling it down. (not sure what they did to it, but it was yummy) Also, try the Potato and Leek soup. (One of the first things i think about when i think about last trip!)
The Mrs had the Pot Roast with the Yorkshire Pudding, and I can confirm how great that was as well. The Rose and Crown was grrreat!@

I just check a recent menu and see they aren't offering the lamb.... that was the BEST! Oh well!

I have been once and your post has convinced me to book an afternoon lunch. I thought I could get by without it but I guess not. Thanks guys....:-) without you I may have regretted not going to this fantastic lunch!
