Glass Bottom Boat Tour

Has anyone done the Glass Bottom Boat tour at Castaway Cay? We were thinking of doing it but haven't read many good reviews.

We did it last February. Quite honestly, we wish we had just spent the time on the beach instead.

The boat is a pretty-much standard tour boat with a large open 'box' in the center of the hull, with glass at the bottom. We did see a school of fish swim by a few times (mostly when the crew scattered uncooked oatmeal on the water to attract them) and other than that it was mostly rocks, sand and an occasional submerged beach towel. :shrug:

IMHO, not worth it. :twocents:

Thanks for the info. I think we will just stay on the beach. Have you ever done the Dolphin Encounter? We can't decide if we should do this or just stay on the boat. Our kids are 4 and 6 and wonder if it's worth the money.

No, we haven't done the dolphin encounter. Maybe someone else will come along with that info.
