picnic in the park

Has anyone done this? I don't know anything about it except that it is at the Animal kingdom. any info would be great.

We tried the picnic in the park and it was really fun, something different. We found a nice place (there are many locations) to eat and we got plenty of food for 4 of us, we got the roasted chicken lunch with sides, drinks and dessert. It takes a quick service per person but we could of got food for 2 people for the 2 of us and 2 kids and shared because it is alot of food. Ordering was easy and it was ready when we went to pick it up.

It was discontinued for a while. I'm not sure if it has started up again.

We tried it last Aug the first afternoon that we were there. It POURED on our way to pick it up...we were soaked! and it was just in time for the parade to start..and the only place we found with cover and we had to stand! But the meal it self wasnt bad..we had the chix...would like to try it again under better circumstances..would probably have enjoed it more. It is worth a try tho!
