I understand that disney had this free dining special last year. Did it include counter service only or was it table service and counter?
Thanks!!!:mickey:

Last year, Disney offered free dining with the regular dining plan which includes 1 table service, 1 counter service, and 1 snack daily.

It's been the last few years. And it's almost time for them to announce it again, if they're going to do it. Any word on this? We're going in October, and we'd love to take advantage of it.

Even if the DO offer it, it would probably end before the F&WF starts, so October would be out. To put a point on that argument - we are booked under a bounceback offer for Free Standard Dining and the end date for the offer was Sept. 30.

Sorry to be a downer.

Actually, the way it usually works is that as long as your vacation starts during the offer period, then the offer stands for the length of your stay. So, my wife's strategy has always been to show up just as free dining is ending, and we still get it for our vacation, but most free dining visitors are gone....so in her mind the crowds are smaller. We've done this the last couple of years. Usually the free dining offer ends the first weekend of October. So she has made her (tentative) plans accordingly. Just waiting to hear if there is an offer or not.

Actually, in the last couple of years, Disney has changed this policy and it doesn't always work that way. They now have the ability to end the promo in the middle of your vacation if they so choose.
