vhs tapes through airport security

I'm taking my autistic son to Disney in April and he wants to bring some of his vhs tapes with him. Will the tapes get ruined by going through airport security.

No they will not get ruined.....They will be perfectly fine!!

No they should be fine. You'd be more likely to damage them by being smashed or if they were left somewhere where they got too hot (like a car).

Shouldn't be a problem at all. My video camera uses tapes and has been through security times many times. Sometimes the same tapes have been through the process on multiple occasions without any issues!
