Hello upcoming trip to Disney in April. We are staying at POFQ. Does anyone know if this resort offers free internet connection?

To the best of my knowledge, none of the Disney resorts offer free internet. You can purchase access on a day to day basis...I believe it's around $7-8 per day. We are set up to use our cell phone as a modem, so that's what we're doing this year.

Click here (http://www.intercot.com/infocentral/computing/howtoconnect.asp) for everything you need to know from Info Central, but, no, there is no free internet anywhere on Disney property. It's $9.95/24 hours.

As a DVC member, I receive free internet during my stay.

I think that is the only exception.

You do have to pay for Internet access which I think is about the only thing at Disney that "irks" me. People pay alot of money to stay on-site and then have to pay more for Internet access. Whenever we stay at hotels, it is usually included anymore. This is one area that Disney needs to look into offering its loyal guests!

Disney would never pull the plug on that revenue stream... DC owners wanted it, so it was included in the annual dues (which went up). It's not "free" for DVC members, just already paid for.

At $10 a day to piggy back on something that's already in place is free money. And by free, I do mean free, unlike the free dining, etc.

As Rox said, Disney would never give up the revenue, they would just charge all guests $10 more. And, as someone who never uses it, that would "irk" me.

Yes, it's included in your room rate. :D The hotels aren't giving it away, they just raise the rate $10 a night and advertise 'free' internet.

Did someone use the word "free" and "Disney" in the same sentence?

We stayed at YC last summer and DH had to go to the Business Center and pay for each Internet session each day for an hour to log into an online class that he had to take. Not a "relaxing" vacation for him and it cost more money to use the Internet. :(

Except for DVC members staying at DVC resorts, "ain't no free internet".

Cheaper to get you an air card for your computer.
