What is your favorite Moderate?

We've only stayed at value resorts for the past 5 trips to the World. Since our next trip will be our last together as a family of 4 for the month of October (the kids will be leaving year round school and back to summer time off), we are considering staying at a moderate for our next trip.

What is your favorite moderate resort?

I've heard Coronado Springs has upgraded to queen beds, but that they host a lot of conventions which can shut down parts of the resort unexpectedly (i.e. pool areas). I've also heard Port Orleans French Quarter is a favorite - what makes it better than the others?

I'd appreciate pros/cons for any moderates you've stayed in.

POR is THE BEST!!! I dont think that I would stay anywhere else...:number1:

Most of the moderates are 2200 room resorts. POFQ is only an 800 room resort, which makes it quieter. It still has nice pools and a place to eat. Usually you even get your own buses which means shorter lines when trying to get back. Wonderful resort!

Boat to DTD
Smaller resort (less walking after a long day at the parks)
Short walk to POR
Less crowded than Values

I chose Coronado Springs but, after our stay at Port Orleans French Quarter last year, I was really torn between the two!

POR for us! After our last trip in June, it is now our home resort!! The atmosphere is so peaceful and quiet and beautiful. The grounds are great for a romantic walk. The pools are The boat ride to Downtown was so convenient. Our room was beautiful, the commute to the parks was short....everything we want in a resort!

...Riverside...hands down !!

5 quiet pools, one signature pool, playground, walking trails, bike rentals, fishing pier, hot tub, boat rentals, boats to DtD, carriage rides, large gift shop, very shaded, laid back, and VERY quiet....how can you top that ????:cool:

CBR is our #1 favorite, followed closely by POR (I stayed here when it still Dixie Landings.).

Mine hands down is POFQ but to be fair, we've never stayed at POR or FW. CBR is a close second.
