Mar. 6, 1927 – Gordon Cooper, one of the original Mercury astronauts, was born in Shawnee, Ok. From Jan. 1973 to 1975, he would serve as Vice President for Research and Development/EPCOT for Walter E. Disney Enterprises, Inc. (The research and development subsidiary of Walt Disney Production.)
Mar. 6, 1948 – Musical theater lyricist and composer Stephen Schwartz was born in N.Y.C. (He would go on to collaborate with composer Alan Menken on Disney’s “Pocahontas” and “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.”

Mar. 6, 1958 – Actor Eddie Deezen, the voice of Ned the manager of Bueno Nacho for Disney’s “Kim Possible.” Was born in Cumberland, Md. He also appeared in the TV remake of “The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes.” (You might not recognize his name, but you’ve heard his distinct voice as Pop in the Kellogg’s Rice Krispies commercials.
