If I don't do the park hopper but need to go to a second park in one day - would they just take another day off of your park passes? or are you not allowed to do that?

It's cheaper to get a 6 day ticket for 5 days if you plan on one day where you park hop, than to get the park hopper ticket when you don't need it every day -- is that allowed?

No. You can only be admitted to one park per day without the Park Hopper option. Your MYW ticket is locked to the one park for that day and will be refused anywhere else. You MAY, however, leave and return to the same park multiple times in a single day.

You've answered your own question with this statement -- since it is so much cheaper after 4 days, they would lose too much money to allow multiple days use from a MYW ticket on any one day.

Keep in mind that if you don't think that you will need the park hopper, please don't buy it now. If you get down there and realize that you do need it, you can add it to your tickets then, and you won't pay any more for the option then than you would if you had bought it up front.

That way, you don't waste the money on the PH option until you know you need it.
