My Search for Devine

I looked through old posts and could not seem to find any information on Devine. However, I know that people have posted this question before so I apologize up front.

I have been to Disney about 9 times. In all our trips we have only seen Devine out once. She was so croweded around that I could not even get a decent picture.

Question:

Do you have any ideas or suggestions as to when she comes out? From where? Any tips you give will be most helpful. :mickey:

Who or what is Devine?

Divine is an incredible creature who can sometimes be found along the walkway between Asia and Africa in Disney's Animal Kingdom. She emerges from the trees covered in vines and leaves, and with a green face. On stilts, she stands more than ten feet tall. She moves along the pathway with athletic grace, and sometimes hides in the foliage.

Her show times are at 10, 11, 12 and 1 daily.

I think Devine is the girl in AK that is on the stilts. If this is the case, we've seen her every time. It's always in the morning and if I remember correctly it seems like it's always in the Oasis.

Last Sept while we were there she was in the Oasis instead of the path between Asia & Africa. Though when we saw her she was down the walkway that leads to the Rainforest Cafe.

I got some great video and pictures since there wasn't many people around. She's truly amazing & beautiful. You should schedule your day at AK to make time to see her.

We trip over Devine every time we go to AK. It's startling the first time you see her...after that...well...sometimes she's in the path of traffic :blush:

I don't go looking for her. However, every time I have been, I have walked into her at the entrance on the left path leading you to the circle where the Tree of Life is.

I've always wondered what she looks like out of costume and in normal settings.

BEAUTIFUL!!!! That is the one word that comes to mind when someone says Devine, she is a must see for everybody!!!! We always try to make this a definite-do when we visit Animal Kingdom!!! She is just mesmerizing!!!

Generally found on the path between Africa and Asia, closer to Africa.

Every time I go I search for her but so far no luck. Next trip I am on my own and can spend more time looking. It is on my list of must-sees!

we actually found devine in africa last year...Just kind of came upon her...She is awesome.

Saw her on the trail between Africa and Asia last month. I made it a point to see her this time as I never knew about her before. Score another one for Intercot boards! Without which I never would have known about most of the great stuff at WDW.

I love DeVine is amazing! I got some good pictures of her.

I was mesmerized with Devine last year! I took about 20 pictures of her and in each one you can barely tell where she is. We play can you find devine when we look at the pictures! She was outside of Africa when we saw her.

Not sure why this thread got moved into the Characters forum. Divine is not a Disney character. She is a show, and part of the AK ambiance.

I am not sure either. When I came upon it here, I thought maybe I had put it in the wrong spot. I agree, she isn't a character.

However, I go enough answers to help me out. The post was most helpful. :mickey:

I have seen her twice, on two separate trips to WDW, and each time she was approximately across from the entrance to Flights of Wonder.

Does DiVine talk? Also, I saw a stunning DiVine on the Travel Channel, but the one in the picture looks very different. If anyone's ever read the Kingdom Keepers books they sell in WDW, they talk about her a lot.
